Hi sir, thanks for this.I don't think it worked for me, on myIntel(R) Core(TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz:Intel AMT disablerThis logfile can also be found in C:\Users\Taoa\AppData\Local\Temp as UnAMT.logExecuted on: 10-May-17 @ 21:54:54.082017-05-10 21:54:55:(INFO) : ACU Configurator , Category: HandleOutPut: Starting log 2017-05-10 21:54:552017-05-10 21:54:55:(INFO) : ACU Configurator, Category: : ACUConfig 188.8.131.522017-05-10 21:54:55:(INFO) : ACU Configurator, Category: -Unconfigure AMT-: Taoa-PC: Starting to unconfigure AMT...2017-05-10 21:54:55:(ERROR) : ACU Configurator, Category: Exit: ***********Exit with code 4 - This system supports Intel(R) Small Business Advantage (Intel(R) SBA) and cannot be configured by Intel SCS components. Intel SBA systems were specifically designed for small businesses, and can only be configured using the software included with Intel SBA. [...]I couldn't find SBA tools on Intel's download pages so I couldn't try something similar to what's in your script. But maybe you'd know how to deal with that? After disabling AMT, should Intel's Discovery tool stop saying 'Vulnerable'? It certainly still says it for me.
Hi Anonymous,In regards to specific SBA tools: unfortunately I can't seem to find too much either.Best way to patch this vulnerability is to update your firmware. Please see the link below, find your computer make and install appropriate patch:https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00075&languageid=en-frHope this helps!RegardsBart
Why do several antivirus brands (Invincea, NANO-Antivirus, Rising and TrendMicro-HouseCall) consider this program as a trojan? Is it safe?
Hi Anonymous,These were false positives and have since been resolved. The tool is indeed safe to use.RegardsBart
